Mineka started working at Overisel in Douglas in August of 2017. Mineka is originally from Middletown, Ohio. She moved to the Saugatuck area in 1997, following her parents who moved to the area in 1990. She came to Saugatuck to visit them and fell in love with the area and knew it would be her new home.
Mineka is the mother of 3 children. A son Nick who started as a freshman at Eastern Michigan University in 2017, a daughter Abigal, and a son Maxwell who both attend Saugatuck Schools. Mineka is quite a talented artist. She had an art gallery for 6 years in downtown Saugatuck called "The Emily and Friends Gallery" She closed the gallery in 2005. She then became the art director of the Presbyterian Camp in Saugatuck for 7 years, and also started a mural business. Mineka bought most of her paint and supplies for the camp and her mural business at Overisel Lumber. She came to know the staff and have always loved the store.

"I have made wonderful friends with my job here at Overisel, and hope to continue my new career with the company for many years to come."
