Jason is the store manager at our Holland Yard. Jason has been around Overisel Lumber since he was old enough to make a mess by climbing around on all the bunks of lumber as a little kid. He quickly learned that if you make a mess, you clean it up. He started working summers in 1998 putting away lumber, painting, and any other odd jobs his dad Tim wanted to punish him with. He went to Holland Christian High School and later attended Grand Valley State University to receive degrees in business management and marketing, all the while maintaining employment at Overisel part time.
Jason and his lovely wife Lindsey have three children Brinley, Brayden, and Carson. He loves spending time with friends and family. Jason loves the great outdoors; playing golf or tennis as time allows. Jason and Lindsey also enjoy volunteering with their church, especially with the youth group.
"I love seeing projects with so much time invested come together. I love working through challenges along side our customers and finding solutions to their questions," stated Jason about his job. Jason says the difference between Overisel and other places, "The people! It's fun doing business with co-workers, vendors, and customers you truly enjoy spending time with and getting to know as friends. I also love the variety; I've never lived the same day twice. There is always new people to meet, products to learn and educate people on, and building practices to explore."
